The inspiring and stunning surroundings of Studland Bay make the Studland Study Centre an ideal location for an educational visit.

The innovative Centre, an educational resource in itself, is an excellent example of a sustainable building. It has been positioned and constructed to have minimum impact on the environment and was the first National Trust building to be awarded an Eco- Centre Award by the Tidy Britain Group. It provides the opportunity to see environmentally friendly technology in practice including a wind turbine, photovoltaic cells and self composting toilets!

Studland is famous for its long sandy beaches and dunes. It is an area of high biodiversity, home to many nationally rare and scarce species, and has a range of national and international conservation and heritage designations. The area provides an excellent study for a host of National Curriculum subjects and topics for all ages. These include; habitat comparison, sand dune profile and succession, tourism management, environmental management, coastal processes, features and erosion.
