Carey Outdoor Education Centre is open all year round to school and youth groups of all ages. The centre offers day and residential courses individually planned to support the needs of teachers and pupils working to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum.
The site is situated on the edge of Wareham Forest in sheltered woodland and is ideal for camping. The extensive grounds provide an attractive setting suitable for a range of environmental studies and outdoor activities. The River Piddle, Wareham town and the Purbeck area also provide a range of excellent study sites. Residential accommodation is provided in standing patrol tents for groups of up to 120 between Easter and October. Groups are fully catered for by the Centre. |
